3. Kempen Pemulihan Serah Simpan Dokumen Statutori (“Campaign”) 

The Campaign is a strategic initiative by SSM to assist companies that have failed to comply with the requirements to lodge statutory documents such as Annual Returns (“AR”), Financial Statements (“FS”), and Beneficial Ownership Information (“BO”) under Companies Act, 2016.

4. Campaign Objectives

1. Increase the level of compliance amongst companies relating to basic statutory requirements;
2. Provide remedial opportunities for non-compliant companies;
3. Update corporate information in the SSM register to ensure that it is always accurate, updated and reliable; and
4. Promote better corporate governance in the country’s business ecosystem.

5. Campaign Period

The Campaign will run from 16 April 2026 to 30 September 2026 with the following facilities: – 

1. A 3-month period to submit outstanding AR and BO;
2. A 6-month period to submit outstanding FS; and
3. A 3-month period to submit an application for company name strike off.

6. Advantages of Participating in the Campaign

1. A specified grace period to submit outstanding documents or apply to strike off defunct companies;
2. Exemption from being compounded and prosecution action for a period of six (6) months from the date of the undertaking for offences relating to the submission of AR, FS and BO information; and
3. A significant reduction in compounds, ranging from 90% to 98.75%, depending on the type of offence.

7. How to participate in the Campaign?

The Director or an authorised company representative is required to complete the Borang Aku Janji (“BAJ Form”) provided by SSM. You may download the BAJ Form and submit via Google Form directly.
